The WIIX Tool is a free online simulatior for individuals involved in water-related industries, which is dedicated to evaluating users' water footprint, or "the Water Impact Index" of the water cycle of industrial or municipal activities.
This Charter defines the general conditions of use of http://www.waterimpactindex.com, hereinafter called the "WIIX Tool".

This Site is subject to French law.
By consulting this site you agree to adhere to the given conditions of use per the day you accessed the site.
A) Site Objective:
The WIIX Tool is the exclusive property of Veolia Water and accessible to all Internet users. The objective of the WIIX Tool is to provide users with an evaluation of their water imprint. The results of the WIIX Tool are provided exclusively for the benefit of the client. The calculations performed by the WIIX Tool are based on data specific to the client, and Veolia Water's data is from recognized scientific sources. The tool uses the most recent information available. However, for performing various calculations, hypotheses must be used, which results in a degree of uncertainty. This must be taken into account when using the WIIX. The information entered by the user will not be stored after exiting the tool. No version of the simulation will be preserved and accessible again. The number of simulations a user may perform are unlimited.
B) Respecting intellectual property rights:
The User agrees to use the WIIX Tool and its services only for personal, noncommercial use. All of the Site's contents (structure, texts, photos, illustrations and software) are the property of Veolia Water or its technical suppliers.
We would also like to point out to visitors that any music, photos, or symbols may also constitute intellectual property rights.
Trademarks and logos used on this Site have been registered. Their reproduction may constitute a criminal offense.
All rights of use are reserved. In accordance with article L.122-4 of the intellectual property code any unauthorized representation or reproduction, whole or partial in whatever form is illegal and constitutes a criminal offence under articles L 335-2 onwards of the intellectual property code.
Veolia Water may provide links to other websites which may or may not belong to the Group. These sites are independent from the WIIX Tool. Veolia Water does not edit nor control the sources and content of these sites or their links with other sites.
Links to these sites in no way implies the approval, confirmation, or agreement of Veolia Water of with the content of these sites.
Veolia Water will not be held responsible for the content, products, services, publicity, cookies or other elements of these sites as well as for any damage or loss, known or alleged, as the result of or in relation with the use of the information, services, or data available on these sites.
Veolia Water and its managers or employees will not be liable for any loss or damages resulting from or connected with this current Site.
Veolia Water reserves the right to modify, suspend or even stop the dissemination of all or part of this site and in particular links with other sites and/or exchanges between visitors which may be circulated.

E) Collection of Statistical Information from the browser:
Veolia Water wishes to clarify that certain information may be recorded by our servers (browser used, IP address). However, none of the information recorded will consist of personal data and will not enable us to identify users..

These are cookies which record information while users access our Site from your computer (pages viewed, date and time etc.) in order that we can read them when users visit our site again. F) Collection and use of personal data.
The simulations performed by the WIIX Tool are personal, individual and accessible to the User only. The data entered into the WIIX Tool is processed in accordance with the requirements of Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to computers, files and freedoms, and any other applicable foreign regulations. In accordance with Article 32 of Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 relating to computers, files and liberties, the information supplied by the user is necessary to meet the user's request.
Any personal data users may send to Veolia Water online are solely for Veolia Water's use, and Veolia Water is solely is responsible for managing and storing them. This data will not be communicated to a third party, with the exception of a third party who is hosting the Site or involved in its content or management.
Veolia Water will take all reasonable measures at its disposal to maintain the confidentiality of this personal data.
The database which may contain these personal details is subject to the French National Data Protection Council or Commission Nationale Informatique et Liberté (CNIL).
In addition, Veolia Water wishes to remind users that in accordance with the law on information technology, files and rights relating thereto, as amended, users have the right to oppose disclosure of, have access to, and to rectify these personal details.
